We invite you to join an informative gang awareness and prevention night on Tuesday, May 12 from 5:30-7pm at Vanguard Academy, a collaborative effort between our school district, local law enforcement, and the North Central Educational Service District. This event is designed to provide families, students, and community members with valuable information, resources, and strategies to help keep our youth safe and supported.
Together, the group will:
- Increase awareness of current trends and warning signs related to gang involvement
- Share prevention strategies and ways to support positive youth development
- Provide guidance on how to talk with children and teens about making safe, healthy choices Strengthen partnerships between families, schools, and community agencies
Our goal is to empower our community with knowledge and tools to proactively support students and prevent gang involvement before it begins.
By working together, we can continue to build a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive.
We strongly encourage all families, students, and community members to attend and be part of this important conversation.
Food and refreshments will be provided. Child care will also be available during the event.
